Hello!
We are super excited for WordCamp Chicago this weekend, and can’t wait to see everyone. Below you’ll find all of the details you need to get the most from the event.
Location, Transportation, and Parking
WordCamp will be held at Chicago-Kent College of Law at 565 W Adams St, Chicago, IL 60661.
Uber, Lyft, and taxis are also recommended for getting around town.

What to Bring
- Your laptop or tablet
- A refillable water bottle. Refill stations are plentiful at the venue.
- Business cards
- Your rested self, ready to learn and meet people
Registration
Registration will open at 8am on Saturday. Please be patient during registration as we’ll be checking in approximately 350 people in a fairly small area over the course of an hour.
Schedule
We’ll kick things off with opening remarks in Track 1 (the auditorium on the main level) at 8:45am Saturday.

Wi-Fi
Instructions to connect to the venue wi-fi:
- Select the wireless network DTC-Event
- When prompted for username and password enter
- Username: wordcamp
- Password: word565
- Check the box to agree to the terms
- Click Continue
Your credentials will expire at the end of WordCamp Chicago on Sunday afternoon.
Food
We will have coffee, tea, and snacks available throughout both days (as supplies last).
Lunch will be provided on Saturday (Chipotle) and you will be on your own for lunch on Sunday.
Afterparty
IMPORTANT: Bring your badge for admittance to the afterparty. If you don’t have your badge, you will not be able to participate in the ping pong fun!
The afterparty will take place from 6-8pm on Saturday night at AceBounce Ping Pong Bar & Restaurant Chicago at 230 N Clark St, Chicago, IL 60601. Here are walking directions (approx 1 mile). Uber, Lyft, or taxi are also options to get to the afterparty.
Appetizers will be served at the afterparty. There will be a cash bar.
