Dustin Filippini

Dustin Filippini (@dustyf) is a Web Engineer with 10up creating and managing websites for clients of all sizes. Dustin started his programming journey in BASIC on his Radio Shack Tandy 1000 computer in grade school and was the computer geek in high school who played pranks on the librarian by installing fake “viruses” on the computers. He first started creating for the web in 1997 learning some HTML and also using high-tech tools like Geocities and FrontPage. Although, he longs for the days of Geocities, he has moved on using WordPress starting in 2005 for a college course. After creating sites using WordPress, other CMSes, and static HTML as a hobby and side job, he eventually took the dive into becoming a full-time developer and found the WordPress Community. Because he feels the WordPress and greater web community has done so much for him, he has given back by contributing to WordPress core and being the lead organizer of WordCamp Milwaukee and organizer of the Milwaukee WordPress Meetup, Web414, and the Milwaukee JavaScript User Group. When not staring at a screen, Dustin loves to hang out in his backyard with his wife and two dogs and plant a garden with his 2-year old daughter. He can be found online at dustyf.com.
