Speaker Spotlight: Jeremy Wright

Jeremy Wright, b5media.comJeremy Wright is speaking at WordCamp Chicago on Saturday 6/6 at 11am.  His selected topic is “The Secrets of Running a Blog Network… With WordPress MU” – and he should know, seeing as how he owns (read: is the CEO of) the hugely popular network of blogs that is b5media.  You can also find Jeremy on his personal blog at Ensight.

Jeremy brings to WordCamp his unique insight and experiences on running and managing a large network of blogs using the multi-user platform of WordPress called WordPress MU.  As some of you may know, successfully managing a large network of blogs with it’s many facets from users, authors, technicians, support and all the rest is not for the faint at heart.  Jeremy has ‘been there, done that’ and comes to WordCamp Chicago with a peek into his formula for sucess in this area.  I know I, for one, am really looking forward to hearing all about it in Chicago!

Jeremy describes himself as a ‘longtime serial entrepreneur‘ who has been involved with the business, programming, and IT aspects of the technology industry for nearly a decade. He has focused on communication-orientated ventures and reguarally consults on blogging, communication, IT, and time management. Jeremy is the author of Blog Marketing, a business book on blogging as well as as the President of b5media, a prominent blog network. Jeremy lives in Toronto, Canada with his two wonderful boys, Evan and Alex. (via Ensight).

Looking forward to hearing you speak in Chicago, Jeremy – thank you for helping us make WordCamp Chicago a success!

Figure I might as well be the first to welcome Jeremy to Chicago then. Let’s hope it doesn’t rain that weekend.

  2. Especially since this is just a few days before my birthday and I’ll be treating it as party weekend 😉

Seriously, thanks for the intro Lisa, looking forward to finally connecting with everyone!

Not a bad way to celebrate the big 3-0, Jeremy 🙂
