Becky Davis has been making her living building custom themes and client solutions with WordPress since 2009. She has been part of the organizing teams for most of the Chicago WordCamps since, but this is the first time she’s taken over lead. She has been the host for the Northside chapter of the Chicago WordPress Community Meetup since 2011.

Boone is a Core Committer for WordPress and a Lead Developer of BuddyPress. His one-man firm, Hard G, provides custom plugin development and other WordPress services to universities and academic organizations.

China Dostal
China Dostal built her first WordPress website in 2009 and has been learning and loving WordPress since. She is a Web Services Manager at Moraine Valley Community College and also an adjunct faculty member who teaches the college’s WordPress class. In 2018 China started running the Southside chapter of the Chicago WordPress Community Meetup group.

Clare Parkinson
Clare is a third-generation geek, and has been working with WordPress since 2010. Her specialty is the WordPress backend; she enjoys building sites that make people’s jobs easier: from streamlining an admin panel to improving workflow for editors and translators. She does freelance and contract work with non-profits across the U.S. Clare is a co-organizer for WordPress Naperville Meetup in Chicago’s western suburbs.

Jeff McNear
Jeff McNear develops, designs, repairs and configures websites primarily in the WordPress platform while keeping an appreciative eye on other Open Source projects such as Drupal, Joomla. He runs the Evanston Web Pros Meetup group, is a birthright proponent of the Bauhaus School, and continues to delve in the analog realm as a sculptor and printmaker.

Keanan is the CTO at Alpha Particle, a digital consultancy that helps plan and execute digital projects. He enjoys helping clients build out their developer teams, modernize legacy tech stacks, and better position themselves as technology continues to move forward. He believes that more technology isn’t always the answer, but when it is, it’s important to get it right.

Scott Winterroth is a PR/digital marketing specialist and open source enthusiast. His WordPress journey began in 2008 with the launch of a music blog, that became a springboard for continued growth with WordPress. He contributes to the WordPress.org Marketing and Training teams and provides freelance WordPress support, content management training, and digital marketing strategy through his company Front & Social. He is also a local meetup group organizer focused on web-related topics such as content strategy and creativity.
