WordCamp Chicago is this weekend (Sat 4/29 & Sun 4/30), and we’re very excited for the great lineup of speakers and solid group of attendees!

Following is some important information to keep top of mind as we approach the event.

Parking

There is street parking, surface lots and parking garages all around the venue. The links below can help you reserve a spot in advance if you wish or set up an app to track parking meters. We don’t have any discounted parking available.

This venue is across the street from Chicago Union Station and a few blocks south of Ogilvie Transportation Center. Check metrarail.com for weekend schedules

Timing:

  • Doors open and Registration will begin at 8am on Saturday.
  • Opening remarks will begin at 8:45am and the first session at 9am.
  • Lunch will be provided on Saturday on the concourse level at 12pm
  • On Sunday you can explore the local restaurants – we’ve set up a custom Google Map with everything from local fast food to brunch spots to Greektown favorites and fine dining options. You may want to check about a reservation for some of those locations.

The Afterparty will be at Jak’s Tap, just a few blocks from the venue at 6pm on Saturday. Appetizers and drinks will be served.

WordCamp Chicago 2017 will be hosted downtown at Chicago-Kent College of Law on April 29-30, 2017.

WordCamps are casual, volunteer-run events. Sponsor support for WordCamp enables attendees to experience the event for a low cost! A low cost ensures accessibility to freelancers, small businesses and anyone who wants to attend.

Call for Speakers

Hello WordCamp Chicago 2017!

We are well on our way to putting together and outstanding event.

WordCamp Chicago 2017 will be held at Chicago-Kent Law School. This is an outstanding venue and we look forward to a successful conference.

We are putting the finishing touches on our website design, but we wanted to make sure to get some initial information out there so people can plan accordingly.

We will also be putting out the call for sponsors and starting ticket sales shortly, so stay tuned and make sure to sign up for our post notifications.

If you’d like to propose multiple topics, please submit the form multiple times, once for each topic. We look to have a diverse lineup of speakers and sessions that focus on all aspects of the WordPress Community relating to both topics and skill levels (beginner – advanced).
