Get to know him below!<\/p>\n<h2>Bio<\/h2>\n<p>Andrew Wikel\u00a0is a WooCommerce ninja at Automattic. He is committed to open source values and loves working with WordPress. He fell in love with WordPress in 2008, and has been working with it in some capacity since then. A\u00a0husband, a father, a WordCamp addict, a coffee snob, lover of shiny things, and a California native living in Illinois.<\/p>\n<h2>WordCamp Chicago Mini-Interview<\/h2>\n<ol>\n<li><strong>When did you first become interested in WordPress?<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>2008, when my friends introduced it to me. I then started building sites in my spare time, eventually freelancing for a few years, before starting work with it full time.<\/p>\n<ol start=\"2\">\n<li><strong>What motivated you to speak at WordCamp?<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>I really enjoy sharing the knowledge that I have with others, and hope that it helps them become more successful (particularly in e-commerce, in this case.<\/p>\n<ol start=\"3\">\n<li><strong>Why do you think WordPress is different from other web platforms?<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>I think that it&#8217;s mainly the community, and the openness of the training and the willingness of most people to help others out that aren&#8217;t as advanced as they are.
