Suzette will be presenting WordPress Wizardry Without Code on Friday
in the Foundation Friday 201 track

Suzette Franck is the WordPress Evangelist at (mt) Media Temple in Culver City, California, where she educates and advocates for WordPress and the WordPress Community.

In 2013, she attended 80 WordPress meetups where she presented at 25 of them, spoke at 12 WordCamps in 8 different states and two countries, as well as presented online at WordSesh #2 with Natalie MacLees. Suzette has 7 published talks that can be found on WordPress.tv.

She blogs at suzettefranck.com about WordPress events and is a regular contributor on WPWatercooler.com, which has been running weekly for over a year and has over 5 million views. Suzette also co-hosts WP Unicorn Project weekly hangout and podcast along with WordPress rockstar Natalie MacLees, sponsored by (mt) Media Temple.

Suzette is passionate about traveling and educating on the wonders of WordPress, as well as front-end coding and theme development. When she is not WordPressing, she paints and collects art, and she resides in the NoHo Arts District located in North Hollywood, California, with her partner.

Why do you use WordPress?
I use WordPress because it makes me look like a genius!

What would you say to convince someone to attend a WordCamp?
It will change your life and how you learn new information and interact with people and it’s only $40! Plus you get learned, fed, clothed, and drunk all inclusive!

What is your favorite WordPress project you have worked on recently?
I had to demo WordPress 3.9 the night that it came out. The presentation went smashingly and claughter and cheers came as I demonstrated the inline image uploading and editing features. I also enjoyed researching how to use Sass to edit themes for WordPress.

Do you have any advice for someone looking to start or grow a WordPress based business?
Keep raising your prices higher and often as you become busier and busier! Do it! Hire help or refer quality leads.

What is your favorite WordPress-related resource?
So many to pick from, but I would have to say as a developer, my favorite is CSS-Tricks.com, which is run by the awesome Chris Coyier.

I co-curated a month-long charity lowbrow art show at Thinkspace for Equality California featuring over 50 different artists and raising over $3,500 for EQCA.
