Speaker Spotlight: Scott Robbin – Making WordPress Faster: Front-end Performance Tips

Optimizing WordPress database queries and caching is an important part of improving site performance, no doubt, but did you know that 80-90% of a page’s response time is spent waiting for front-end components to load? In this session, we’ll look at a few simple techniques that you can use to speed up your WordPress theme.

Note: This talk will be geared towards users who have, at minimum, a basic understanding of theme development and experience with web development tools, such as Firebug.
